Central Piers (6km)

Location: Central Government Pier, 32 Man Fai Street, Central, Hong Kong
The challenge with Central Hong Kong is finding long uninterrupted stretches of water to run along.  This provides a short run that is best done early in the day to avoid tourists and people going to work, but can still be a good exercise in dodging and avoiding bodies on the go.

The great thing with this run is you can start and end pretty much anywhere.  There are two turn about points, at Sun Yat Sen Park in the west and in Tamar Park, below the government building in the east.  Doing a whole loop will give you around 6km.  The only properly tricky section is around the Shun Tak Centre (Macao ferry) which can involve some running up and down stair, although it is perfectly navigable at street level.

For ease, this run "starts" at the Star Ferry pier in Central.
Distance: 6km
Type: Out and Back
Traffic: People
Refreshments: Plenty on the way
Getting There: Lots of buses stop at the ferry piers.  Alternatively it is a short walk from Exchange Square bus terminus and of course the Star Ferry of coming from Kowloon
