Whilst this might appear to be a short run it is going to give your legs a real workout. The first 4km or so are all down hill, but what goes down, must come up. The return loop is not so steep and flattens out in places with some short down hills. The scenery is worth the effort, and with a headlamp, this run can be done at night.
Start at the Police Station Museum at Blacks Link / Stubbs Road intersection. Follow Aberdeen reservoir Road for 1.5km and then bear off onto Aberdeen Fitness Trail and then turn left onto the Aberdeen Nature Trail. From here you will start to climb again. At the bottom of the reservoir you will see some steps going up: take these. Then follow your nose and keep heading up until you come to Hong Kong Trail Section 4 which you will now take to the top of the reservoir. Rejoin Aberdeen Reservoir Road to the start.
For a longer run (and more hills) you could start at either end of Bowen Road and cut up Wan Chai Gap Road, and return down to end the run with some easier KM. Other options would be to run from Black's Link or down from The Peak.
